it's time

but Clinton did it too

and here is where the right-wingers get it wrong .... again.

the "it" they refer to is the firings of the us attorneys in the latest shit to hit the white house fan. but there is more to "it" then that.

yes clinton did the usual incoming presidential purge of replacing us attorneys ... almost every new president does. the difference is he allowed them to stay on past their four-year term when he was reelected for his second year term. in 25 years, only 5 us attorneys have been fired in the middle of a president's term and only for malfeasance

the important question is, considering that firing us attorneys is the president's right, WHY DID THEY LIE ABOUT HOW/WHY THEY DID IT? people lie for a reason and i believe the reasons are coming to light

the other very unique difference for the bush administration is that one of the many "passes" they get from the patriot act is that they no longer have to have us attorneys confirmed by congress ... every other president including Clinton had to, but oh no, not bush

take a couple of hours and do some googling, find out what these 8 fired us attorneys were working on when they got fired ... you will be able to figure out the reasons behind the lies to congress ... pull the string and watch it all unravel
